DA myself to relieve great pressure?

my lifelong mental illnesses, fuelled significantly by the borg, are very bad at the moment and result in me missing lots of midweek meetings, but i haven't missed a sunday in years except the occasional vacation.. the nature of my mental and emotional illnesses mean that i, as a physically in and mentally out pimo, take to heart very painfully admonishment from the platform to never miss meetings, preach all i can, and so on.. okay, i report 3 hours each month on average and no elder has ever said anything, but when they make comments on the platform, i feel such great guilt and shame, but also anger, as they do not understand my illnesses and when i do mention my situation to elders, they kind of minimise and joke about it.. some other sisters in my congregation started "officially" not attending midweek meetings a few year's ago because of their own health circumstances, but i know for a fact that some elders look down on them for this reason, not showing real understanding deep down even if they do on the surface.. i have reached the point where i want to hand in a da letter as a cry for help, or more like a clear indicator to them that when i say i'm not well enough to attend midweek, i really mean it and it's not just an excuse.

sure, i'm only 42, but i can still be too fragile to go out at night with a 30 minute drive both ways..

OP sounds like me a decade ago, and I hung on till I got suicidal. Turns out I was clinically depressed.. I went to a doctor, got the meds and concentrated on my business and hobbies only going to the odd meeting and conventions when I felt like it. Stopped reading the mags they would make me ill as does too much ex JW stuff as well. The less I went and the more I researched the better I felt. Turning point was giving myself permission to look at the society from a critical viewpoint as the OP is now doing. Read Kieth Casarona's New Boy bethel stories right here on the forum and knew right then and there that there MUST be a better way to worship. 2 years later sent in my DA. Was hard at first but got used to it real quick and in retrospect was like giving them a big F U, as they had made me do to the catholic church in writing same DA letter. When I meet any JW now I tell them openly and to their face what I found out about the org. Take back YOUR own power, don't give it away ! God and Christ want what is best for you !

i did!

even when i was in junior high school i would go to the library and look for anything that was about charles taze russell or millenial dawn or jehovah's witnesses..... maybe i was an "apostate " in the making..

For sure for about a year before coming on here, mostly Freeminds.com I was 'on the fence' as they come. Made friends with a few believers and quickly realised that the WTBTS does not have monopoly on truth, that they skew everything to their benefit and are consummate users and manipulators. But yes during my transition period of almost a year I was treated poorly by a few individuals on here. Forgive and forget.

Zeb is doing a fine work indeed ! I back him up 100% and would do same if not for my anxiety and fear of reprecussion. Shunning kids, blood doctrine, ARC, corruption, coercion and bullying : Horrible ! They need to hear it !

i just bought a copy of the finished mystery and it can be a bit rare.

but i bet there are others much more rare.

I own Aid To Bible Understanding. It mentions where the name Jehovah came from unlike the newer Insight volumes. ( Raymundus Martini the monk who invented the Latin version of G-d's name )

The reason the Insight books were done was twofold : to distance themselves from Raymond Franz ( he did most of it's research and writing ) and to create considerable income from the R & F ( all family heads surely felt the need to purchase theses expensive sets to keep up with the Jones and out-spiritualize other families )

Yes I have read that Commentary on James by dear Mr. Ed Dunlap is the best WT book out there by far.

That girl is stunning must say ! Yep I had a JW friend whose wife and sister looked like that. They are no longer married, she is now remarried out of the cult. Friend is a company man waiting for his inheritance, is a career choice of his lol. Bat s**t crazy nutty bunch those JW's I must say ! Everything about them is dishonest and dysfunctional right down to their drawings and pictures.
